so i never really thought MUCH of skrillex (contrary to his skyrocket to fame in 2011…) apart from perhaps ‘first of the year’. so i was very surprised by bangarang ep. not only does skrill explore his softer, more ambient and sensitive side by teaming up with the excellent miss elena jane goulding on ‘summit’, but comes into his own with a little help from sirah, whose sassy vocals ring "the bass that makes that bitch cum" over the track ‘kyoto’. it’s still dubstep through and through so not one to go for if you’re looking for anything deep and meaningful, but skrillex is proving to be the pioneer of the genre very fast indeed, so now i can’t wait for him to drop his next release.
